The short version: what you type and the photos you add stay on your device. For the writing help we keep a small account record, never your email address in clear and never what you write. We don’t sell anything, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.
What stays on your device
Your program, your answers, the drafts and the photos are saved in your browser’s own storage on the device you’re using. They are not on our server. To remove them, use “Delete this program from this device” on the last step of the program maker, or clear this site’s data in your browser. Work nobody has opened for about four months is cleared automatically.
What passes through our server
- Downloads. To make a paid file, your program’s words and photos are sent to our server, which makes the PDF and sends it back. Nothing is saved.
- The writing help. When you ask for a draft, your answers are sent to Google’s Gemini service, which writes the draft. We hold the finished draft for at most 10 minutes, so a retried request gets the same draft instead of a second one, and then clear it. We don’t save your answers.
- Web logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records basic technical details of each request, such as the time and IP address, to keep the site running and secure. These logs don’t contain what you type.
- Visit counts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites.
- Your email, if you leave it. If you leave your email to hear when paid downloads or the writing help open, we keep it only to send that one email, then delete it.
Signing in for drafts
Drafts from the writing help need a free sign-in. Everything else works without one. When you sign in:
- The code email. We send a 6-digit sign-in code to the address you give, through our mail provider, Resend. It is the only email sign-in sends.
- Your account. We keep an account keyed by a one-way hash of your email address, not the address itself, with the number of drafts you’ve used and, if you buy, which order adds more.
- The session cookie. One cookie keeps you signed in. It can’t be read by scripts on the page (HttpOnly) and lasts 90 days, or until you sign out.
- Sign-up limits. To stop abuse, we count sign-in codes sent from each IP address and network. We store those addresses only as one-way hashes.
- The draft log. For each call to the writing help we log your account, the number of words processed (tokens) and the cost. Never the content.
- The quick check. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a script, is signing in and asking for a first draft. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to it.
Payments
Stripe handles payments. It collects your card details and email address to take the payment and send a receipt. We can see that a payment was made, its amount and the email address, never your card number. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to what it collects.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is the sign-in cookie above. Your browser’s storage is used only to save your work.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning a service. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
